Expert Tips

You can use mango instead of pineapple.

I love experimenting with new drink recipes to try out at home and I have created a drink that combines the flavors of pineapple with chamoy, a spicy sweet that many of us grew up with and continue to enjoy. It can be easily found in many supermarkets throughout the United States and in Mexico they're famous. This is what inspired the pineapple margarita with chamoy, perfect for any house party. I invite you to try this new drink recipe. Enjoy!

Directions

  • 1 Freeze the pineapple in syrup in a container for at least two hours and when it's frozen re-move from the container and blend at high speed. The result will be a tasty light sorbet that can be used for this recipe or for a quick dessert.
  • 2 Add 1/2 cup of the sorbet to each margarita cup, add the tequila in equal parts and sprinkle a bit of liquid chamoy. Serve immediately.
