All the holiday flavors of a traditional panettone made into cookie bars. Rich, buttery and brimming with dried fruits, these cookie bars are a wonderful sweet treat for your next Holiday party.

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy cream cheese frosting
  • 1 cup dried fruit mix (cranberries, cherries, pineapple)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2
    Spray an 8x8 inch baking pan with non stick cooking spray.

    Prepare sugar cookie mix as directed on package.
  • 4
    Mix in lemon zest, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Spread batter evenly in pan, bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly brown and until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Remove from oven, cool completely.

    While cookie bar cool, mix together cream cheese frosting and dried fruit. Once cookie bars have cooled completely, frost evenly with frosting and garnish with chopped pecans.

    Slice and serve.
