Expert Tips

You can use freshly diced pineapple or use those that come canned in syrup. Be sure to strain them well so the dough stays crunchy.

Whenever Memorial Day comes around, the kids always start to plan a barbeque by the pool to spend some time outdoors. Like them, I don’t plan on spending too much time in the kitchen so I will prepare dishes that don’t require too much time. Mini Hawaiian pizzas are the perfect snack to enjoy the holiday. Kids love them, we only need a few ingredients and in just 30 minutes we’ll have a delicious appetizing dish.

Directions

  • 1 Preheat the oven to 425° F.
  • 2 Place the Pillsbury pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and stretch out with the help of a rolling pin.
  • 3 Use a cup or knife to cut out several circles of dough to make the mini pizzas.
  • 4 Cover each circle in pizza sauce, pepperoni slices, mozzarella cheese and diced pineapple.
  • 5 Place the pizzas in the oven and remove from the heat when the dough looks toasted and cheese has melted.
  • 6 Serve immediately.
