Christmas is my favorite time of year, because there's always a festive and joyous feeling in the air. I live far away from the majority of my loved ones, but the memories of our times together remain intact and they help me keep my traditions alive as I pass them on to my daughters. There's something very rewarding about preparing the holiday recipes that have become staples in our family tradition. If there's one thing our Christmas table can never be without it's our traditional leche de burra. It's a very well known beverage that is prepared in various Latin American countries. It's delicious, creamy and sweet with a touch of rum. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
