Expert Tips

Use your preferred yogurt flavor. You can replace brown sugar with white sugar. You can also add more rum to the recipe.

This is my new, lactose-free version of the traditional Puerto Rican coquito. The taste is lighter than the typical recipe, but I promise you that you'll be amazed its delicious taste. Prepare several bottles to present them to your friends, and while you’re at it, go ahead and surprise your family too!

Directions

  • 1 Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until well mixed. Then pour in a glass jar or bottle and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • 2 Serve cold with a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional).
