Expert Tips

You can get creative with this recipe (try and mold the dough into different shapes) and try different combinations with them. Do this ahead of time so you can enjoy a tasty breakfast rush-free.

Serving these ham and cheese rolls for breakfast is one of the best ways to start the day. They’re also something I like to serve at home when my friends come over for coffee. No one can have just one serving, so I have to prepare two or three pieces of bread to make everyone happy. These rolls can also be included in children’s lunchboxes, or you can serve them after the kids are finished exercising or playing sports. They’ll be gone in the blink of an eye!

Directions

  • 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • 2 Stretch the dough over a floured surface.
  • 3 Cover it with the ham slices.
  • 4 Repeat with the cheese slices.
  • 5 Roll the dough and pull the edges so the stuffing doesn’t come out.
  • 6 Place the bread on a baking tray and brush it with the beaten egg.
  • 7 Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the bread is golden.
  • 8 Serve hot.
