Ingredients

  • 11 ozs semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 waffle cones
  • Fruit salad mixture: strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, grapes (fruits and quantities to taste)
  • Whipped cream, to taste
  • Sprinkles (optional)
  • Walnuts (optional)

Directions

    In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips into a smooth consistently. Stir constantly, making sure not to burn the chocolate.

    One by one, dip the open side of the waffle cones into the melted chocolate, making sure to coat approximately 1 inch. Dip a few raspberries and strawberries in the remaining chocolate, as desired.

    Sprinkle the chocolate-dipped part of the cone with sprinkles and/or walnuts (optional).

    Place cones in freezer until chocolate has hardened.

    Remove from freezer, and begin to fill each cone with the largest pieces of fruit first. Add berries and smaller fruit pieces towards the top.

    Serve immediately.
