Expert Tips

Experiment using different flavors of Go-Gurt® yogurt.

Directions

  • 1 Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Cut the peeled pineapple into large slices, at least 1/2 inch thick. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the slices in the form of a heart. Arrange the hearts on the baking sheet and freeze for at least 3 hours before serving.
  • 2 To prepare the dipping sauce, in a small bowl, mix the yogurt with the cream cheese. Sprinkle with shredded coconut.
  • 3 Serve the frozen pineapple hearts with the yogurt sauce, and enjoy!

As we inch closer to spring, I have a fun snack idea that will delight everyone in your family. It involves pieces (or heart-shaped slices) of frozen pineapple that are as sweet as they are delicious. Eating these fruit bites is almost like eating a pineapple-flavored paleta. Served with a cherry yogurt and cream cheese sauce and shredded coconut, it’s an ideal dessert for sunny spring and summer days. Enjoy this refreshing, fruity combo!
