Christmas time is almost here and there’s nothing like preparing a delicious recipe as a gift for your friends and family. My family loves to celebrate with the cranberry and fresh orange jam that I prepare during the holidays and that’s why I want to share this special recipe with you, so it might inspire you to give the gift of food this Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 24 ozs fresh cranberries
  • 1 Valencia orange
  • 2 teaspoons of Valencia orange zest
  • 3 cups of orange juice
  • 2 cups of unrefined sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered clove
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Directions

    Place the cranberries in a large pot, add the orange juice, orange zest, sugar, cinnamon, clove, and cinnamon stick. Cook for 20 minutes over medium heat or until the cranberries are cooked.

    Wait until the mixture cools and pour the jam into glass jars and cover with the lid. Add labels to identify the contents and refrigerate.

    Use ribbons to give the jars a Christmas gift touch that I’m sure your friends and family will love. The jam goes great with toast, croissants, pancakes and even with vanilla ice cream or cheesecake.
