Expert Tips

Add red, white and blue sprinkles before the icing hardens to make the cake even more colorful.

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350° F. Use nonstick spray to grease a Bundt baking mold.
  • 2 In a medium size bowl add cake mix, eggs, yogurt, milk and oil. Mix until everything is well combined. Add 1 cup of this mixture into a separate container and add red food coloring until you have the desired amount of red. Repeat the same process with the blue food coloring.
  • 3 In a previously greased mold, add red cake mix until it covers the bottom. Add the white mix and finish with blue.
  • 4 Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes. Remove from mold and let cool completely.
  • 5 For the icing, combine powdered sugar and milk until you have the right texture.
  • 6 Cover cake with icing and serve.
