The first cocktail I ever tried was a piña colada and I fell in love. The second I had was at a Christmas party when one of my aunts prepared a pink drink they called medias de seda (silk socks), and it was then that I discovered my love for creamy sweet drinks. One of the flavors most rooted in our culture is that of coffee; delicious, strong, full bodied, rich in color and yet very versatile. I’d bet we could easily find 100 recipes where we can use it. Having said that, today I’ve decided to combine the rich flavor of coffee with the creamy and sweet goodness of ice cream to create this delicious recipe. This coffee cocktail looks like a milkshake, but watch out, its not! I hope you like it!
