Expert Tips

Store this treat in a sealed container so they don't dry out.

My favorite thing about this recipe is how easy and quick it is to prepare. Since it's no-bake, it's extra convenient when you need a dessert in a pinch and you have little time to spare. It takes only 30 minutes to put together and these cereal balls are attractive and flavorful. For even neater presentation, serve in cupcake liners, as I did for the photo. These treats are perfect for kids; the presentation is so entertaining. I recommend storing them in an airtight container for up to three days. Be inspired to try this recipe, and let us know how they turned out. Enjoy!

In place of Chocolate Chex™ cereal try other flavored cereals such as Vanilla, Honey Nut, Cinnamon or Apple Cinnamon.

Directions

  • 1 In a bowl, mix the pulverized Chex™ cereal with a cup of the coconut.
  • 2 In a separate bowl, combine the dulce de leche with the condensed milk. Pour the dulce de leche mix over the cereal mix and stir with a spoon until a dough has formed. Use your hands if necessary.
  • 3 Spread the rest of the coconut out on a plate or flat dish. Make approximately 1-inch balls with the dough and roll them in the coconut to coat. Set in a cupcake liner to serve.
