Expert Tips

You can substitute the fresh strawberries with four cups of strawberry juice or néctar if needed.

Strawberries are synonymous with summer. So what could be better than an iced strawberry cocktail with a toque of cinnamon to beat the heat?

Directions

  • 1 Boil one cup of water together with sugar and cinnamon stick over medium heat. After the sugar has completely dissolved, remove from heat and let completely cool to room temperature.
  • 2 Next, purée the strawberries in a blender or food processor with two cups of water. Then strain the mixture into a two-liter pitcher. (This step is optional–I personally like the texture with the strawberry seeds.) Last, pour-in the tequila and sweeten with the prepared syrup infused with cinnamon.
  • 3 Rim your cocktail glasses in a mix of cinnamon and sugar before serving your prepared cocktail over ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. ¡Salud!
