Directions

  • 1 For the cinnamon sugar: Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl; set aside.
  • 2 For the churro dough: In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. Remove from heat, add pancake mix, cocoa powder, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix well until a soft dough forms.
  • 3 Place dough in a pastry bag or plastic bag fitted with a star tip.
  • 4 Heat oil in frying pan.
  • 5 Carefully pipe churro dough into hot oil using scissors or knife to cut dough. Fry until lightly browned, for about 2 minutes.
  • 6 Strain on paper towels and dust with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm.
