Want to prepare a special treat for your kids? These Cheerios™ chocolate bars are perfect. You can use sweet or semisweet chocolate, depending on your family's preference. The Cheerios™ give the bars a delicious crunchy texture. They're fun to eat!

Ingredients

  • 20 oz of semisweet or sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Cheerios™ cereal
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts mix

Directions

    Line and 8x8' mold with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

    To melt the chocolate: you can use the double boil method by placing a pot to boil with 1 inch of water, lower the heat to allow it to boil softly. Place a bowl with the chocolate chips over the steam of the boiled water. The heat from the water will melt the chocolate chips and stir softly until it has all dissolved. If you want to do it in the microwave, place the chips in a glass bowl, heat on high for 30 seconds, remove and stir for 1 minute. Repeat as many times as necessary until the chocolate has melted.

    Pour the chocolate in the mold and spread into an even layer, add the Cheerios™ and dried fruits.

    Remove from mold and cut with a large kitchen knife. Serve.

    You can use nuts or white chocolate to give it a different look.

    Make sure not to whip the chocolate when you mix it, always use soft movements. If air get caught in it, the chocolate will dull.
