This sauce can be used as a side for your traditional turkey, but also goes well with pork. It's very easy to prepare and I'm sure your guests will love the spicy and sweet taste!

If you like your food spicy you can add 1 more tablespoon of chipotle pepper paste.

Directions

  • 1 In a medium saucepan over medium heat add the cranberries, water and sugar. Cook, constantly stirring, until most of the liquid has evaporated (5-8 minutes). Set aside.
  • 2 In another medium saucepan over medium high heat, melt the butter. Add flour and mix well with a whisk until you get a pasty consistency. Cook for 1 minute.
  • 3 Gradually start adding the chicken broth and continue beating until you don’t see any lumps.
  • 4 Add the brown sugar, chipotle pepper and white wine. Mix. At first boil reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Add cranberry mixture and stir. Remove from heat.
  • 5 Serve this salsita warm to accompany the turkey.
