For parties, as a movie-time snack, or to accompany the main dish at dinnertime… this cheesy bacon bread is always a win-win! It’s super easy to prepare; the most important thing is to generously stuff the loaf with cheese so each slice pulled apart is ooey and gooey. When I want to mix it up with a variation of garlic bread, this is my favorite go-to option. Delicious, right?

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf baguette-style bread
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup bacon, chopped
  • Chopped parsley, to taste

Directions

  • 1
Preheat the oven to 350 °F.
  • 2
Slice the bread with a serrated knife, without cutting all the way through the bottom of the loaf, the base. Cut lengthwise as well.
  • 3
Melt the butter and add the garlic salt. Pour in the holes of the slices.
  • 4
Mix the cream cheese with the shredded cheese and crunchy bacon bits. Spread the cheese mix in between the slices to incorporate it into the loaves.
  • 5
Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and bake for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • 6
Once the cheese has melted, remove from oven and sprinkle with the chopped parsley. Serve hot.

Expert Tips

  • tip 1
