Expert Tips

Freeze any leftover waffles, then reheat in the microwave or pop 'em in the toaster for another breakfast.

Directions

  • 1 In 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook apples in butter about 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender. Pour caramel topping over apples. Cook, stirring frequently, until warm. Keep warm while making waffles.
  • 2 Heat waffle iron. (Waffle irons without a nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray.) In medium bowl, stir all waffle ingredients with wire whisk or fork until blended.
  • 3 For each waffle, pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. (Check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle iron. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Serve waffles with topping.
