Directions

  • 1 In blender, place tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato puree, onion, garlic, chile, bouillon, and salt. Cover; blend on high speed, 30 seconds to 1 minute, until mixture is almost smooth.
  • 2 In 3-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Carefully add blended sauce; cook uncovered about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in lima beans. Cook 6 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lima beans are tender and flavors are blended.
