Expert Tips

For the beaks, it's a good idea to double up the orange triangles so they're stronger and more vibrant.

Dariela Cruz Baby chicks are symbolic of spring and Easter… they practically go hand in hand with the Easter Bunny. And they're so cute and soft because they've just been born! Use this recipe to make them a little nest. You can even use it as an Easter cake topper!

Roll together a few of the green strips to give the nest a bit more volume.

Directions

  • 1 Unroll the Fruit by the Foot™ "Color by the Foot" flavor.
  • 2 Using the green color, cut out strips of approximately 1" x 0.5".
  • 3 Cut out small triangles from the orange color to make the beaks.
  • 4 Use the black frosting to paint two small eyes at the top of each marshmallow with your brush, and then add the beak.
  • 5 Place your chicks in the middle of the cookie and then place the green strips around them to form the nest. Use a toothpick or pin to move the green strips around until you're satisfied with the look.
