Directions

  • 1 Butter bottom and sides of 8-inch square pan, or spray with cooking spray. Place cereal in resealable food-storage plastic bag or between sheets of waxed paper; coarsely crush with rolling pin. Set aside.
  • 2 In 3-quart saucepan, heat honey and brown sugar to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in oats, apples and sunflower nuts until well blended.
  • 3 Press mixture evenly into pan. In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips uncovered High 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring after 30 seconds, until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over bars. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 3 rows. Store covered at room temperature.
