Expert Tips

You can use pears instead of apple, the result is just as delicious.

Some first time mothers might not know how to create a diverse menu for our babies. Most of us are inclined to prepare homemade creams and purées that offer a good amount of nutrients that our children need. These apple purées contain an important amount of fiber, as well as vitamins and minerals that benefit the growth of your baby. I recommend using Golden apples because it’s got a soft and pulp that your baby will love!

Directions

  • 1 Wash the apple very well and remove the peel completely.
  • 2 Remove the center and the seeds then cut the rest into small cubes.
  • 3 Add the apple pieces to a pot and fill with enough water to cover them.
  • 4 Cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • 5 Use a hand mixer or a purée press to blend the fruit with the water to create the baby food.
  • 6 Let cool completely before serving.
