Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Cuban bread (approximately 24 inches long)
  • 30 oz pork roast, cooked
  • 6 ham slices
  • 6 Swiss cheese slices
  • 3 teaspoons mustard
  • Pickles, if desired
  • Mojo de ajo, if desired

Directions

    Cut loaf of Cuban bread into three equal parts. Then split each piece of bread in half horizontally.

    Spread mustard on each side of the bread. Place desired amount of pork roast on one side. Add two slices of ham and two slices of cheese per sandwich. Add the pickles to taste and finally the mojo to taste.

    Close each sandwich with the other half of bread and place in oven preheated to 300°F. for approximately five minutes to melt cheese and toast the bread, you can also use a panini maker.

    Serve warm.

    If you can’t find Cuban bread, you can use French bread.
  • tip 2
    If you do not have a panini maker, press the sandwich with a heavy iron skillet or something heavy.
