I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in Mexico, where I started cooking at the age of 12. My mother and grandmother were responsible for teaching me many basic and beautiful dishes. I met the love of my life while in a garden in the quiet little town of Guanajato, where he had come to study Spanish. He later confessed to me that he knew he would marry me as he watched me slice onions. Now we live in sunny California with our two handsome sons. In addition to caring for my beautiful family, I spend my time writing about children, food, entertainment, beauty, health and fashion in my bilingual blog www.mamalatinatips.com. In 2011 I was rewarded for my efforts by being voted best bilingual blogger of 2011 by LATISM (Latinos in Social Media), and consider myself fortunate to work with some of the most well-known and respected brands in the United States.
