My name is Sonia Mendez Garcia. I am first generation Mexican American born and raised in Southern California. We traveled to Monterrey, Mexico at least twice a year to visit family. Cooking was always a big part of my life. I learned early on from my parents, grandmother, and aunts many of our family's authentic Mexican dishes. I moved to Central New York 26 years ago, where I live happily with my husband. I love the feedback I get from people and it makes me feel good when I could help them with their food questions. I am still having fun and I enjoy learning new techniques and recipes from all over Latin America.
